Performance (5 min), Video installation, HD (5 min)

Two citizens with hand luggage arrive on after the other, they are looking for a place in the vitrious architecture of the shopping center. They unfold white bed sheets, set the alarm clock, lay down, close their eyes and relax themselves. After three minutes the clock rings, they open their eyes, wrap up all their stuff and leave the department store in a relaxed mood.

It´s impossible to be simply there in those “semi-public” spaces. Those space induce the need to justify the own stay in the people present. The performance artists start thinking from the body: Personal, human needs are in contrast to the (luxury department store) world with there bourgeois values and codes and exhausting imperative: Be on move all the time! Space means ressource. Shopping is only one possibility among many others.
